Making the bead curtain

1. First I tie a eyelet screw onto the end of the fish gut

2. I then measure out and cut the length of fish gut I need (500cm gives me a bit extra to work with when ting my knots)

3. Add a crimp bead (but don't squash it yet)

4. Add the beads (count the amount of each colour to match the year and person I am doing)

1. add a small bead on the bottom and back thread 6 beads

2. put it on the floor along side other strands with the same person/amount of beads so it is an easier to make sure you have the right amount of beads in each colour when they line up

1. if it hasn't lined up recount and fix the strand.

2. Back thread the whole string making sure it is kept tight so there is no gap at the top

1. thread back through the crimp, wrap around the eyelet hook a few times, tie it up and go back through the crimp

2. squash crimp now

3. back thread until length of fish gut runs out

4. glue knots at the top of the piece.
