The bead curtains were blessed with ‘E to matou Matua i te rangi’ by Aroha Hauraki-Ahdar of Ngapuhi and Tainui descent, on the 12th of November 2017.

Aroha, My parents, my sister and her husband, my aunt and myself attended the blessing. Due to cultural preference I was unable to video record the blessing but was allowed to have a voice recording (which can be found on the left side of the Forth Quarter page ). If you listen to the recording you will hear the blessing and the explanation of the blessing as it happened.

It was an absolutely amazing experience for my whole family and we were really honored to receive such an amazing gift from Aroha. There were tears all round as we felt close to our loved ones again and could feel their presence in the room.
